The collection consists 24 boxes of materials related to John Gilliland's Pop Chronicles programs, including research notes, interview transcripts, open-reel tapes, CD transfers, cassettes, and other media formats, along with a large collection of classic radio program recordings.

Arrangement Note
The collection is arranged in two series. Series 1 consists of 6 boxes, which contain the paper materials, CD transfers, a few cassettes, a DVD, and a VHS tape. The remaining 18 boxes, primarily open reel tapes of Pop Chronicles programs and other "old time radio" titles, are in Series 2.
