Booton Herndon Collection
The collection consists of six boxes of materials related to Herndon's 1964 book The Sweetest Music This Side of Heaven: The Guy Lombardo Story, including extensive typed transcripts of interviews with Guy, Lebert, and Carmen Lombardo, and others, along with drafts of the book up to the published version.
Art Dedrick Collection
The collection consists of four boxes of Dedrick's compositions and arrangements over the course of his career. Most are autograph scores in pencil, with a few published materials, and a handful of works by other arrangers.
Bill Kuelbs Orchestra Collection
The collection consists of three boxes of "stock" and "special" arrangements from the Bill Kuelbs Orchestra, a big band which was active in the Chicago area during the 1940s.
Joe M. Morris Piano Roll Collection
The collection consists of 5431 piano rolls, containing Western art music and American popular songs, as well as folk and novelty tunes. A majority of the popular songs are arranged as fox trots; many rolls also include lyrics which scroll as the roll progresses.
Stanley Meacham Papers
The collection consists of Stanley Meacham's research documents in his efforts to collect every published work by composer Dudley Buck, along with a set of Meacham's own compositions beginning around 1930.
Dennis Askey Collection
The collection consists of three boxes, and contains various discographies of Duke Ellington (including four copies of Askey's own work), ten years of the Duke Ellington Music Society Bulletin, materials from record clubs, VHS and Beta tapes, CDs, and film reels. The film reels include content related to jazz, and to Askey's work as a foreign service officer, with content from China and Afghanistan.
Rhodes S. Baker, Jr. Collection
The collection consists about 14 boxes of papers related to Houston attorney Rhodes Baker's research and collection of Duke Ellington recordings, along with tape recordings, 78 r.p.m., and LP records.
Carl Friedberg Collection

James Schaeffer Center for Contemporary Opera Collection
The collection consists of twelve boxes of materials related to the Center for Contemporary Opera, including scores, libretti, correspondence, programs, magazines, and photographs. Many of the works were new commissions and appear in incomplete draft or excerpted form. Most of the accompanying correspondence is addressed to Jim Shaeffer and features a creator’s pitch of their work or performance instructions.

The collection consists of eleven boxes of teaching materials, class notes, bibliographic materials, and writings by former North Texas music professor Lloyd Hibberd.
