Collection contains Q Texas, an LGBT publication which ran from 2000-2004. The publication focused on art, music, performance, movies and culture, as well as the current social and political subject matter during its run. The magazine is represented here in its entirety, with the exception of Volume 5, Issue 6, from October 22nd, 2004.

Biographical or Historical Information

Q Texas was founded in 2000 by the Dallas Voice when TWT or TWIT (This Week in Texas) ended. The offices for the magazine were in Dallas and Houston and Dennis Vercher served as the Editor. In 2005, Q Texas was combined with The Texas Triangle, another LGBT periodical, into TXT Magazine. TXT Magazine ceased publication in December 2006.
