Scope and Contents
The John Stryker Photography Collection contains color and black and white photographs that were taken at rodeos in Fort Worth. Many of the images are characterized by the high action style that Stryker became known for. The images feature horses, riders and some landscape photography. In addition to the photographs in the collection, there are letters and other papers that detail Stryker’s life and career, as well as news clippings, rodeo programs, and related printed materials. Included in the collection is a scrapbook of Styrker’s rodeo photography work which includes photos and rodeo programs.
