Scope and Contents
The Belle Rogers Collection consists of a 142 page manuscript of the memoirs of longtime Gainesville resident Belle Rogers. Spanning the years 1850-1937, the memoirs describe early pioneer life in Fannin, Hunt, and Cooke counties. Topics include frontier domestic life, frontier schooling, local plants and landscapes, and early Gainesville families and businesses.
