Scope and Contents
Major General Otto Erwin Scherz (1921-1993) was honored with a street being named Scherz Boulevard on Goodfellow Air Force Base, San Angelo, Texas in 1993. He served during World War II. He was released from active duty in 1946. He then joined the Texas Army National Guard in June 1948. He retired in 1978. His military awards included the Bronze Star, Legion of Merit, and Lone Star Distinguished Service Medal. He was made an honoree of the Texas Nationa Guard Hall of Honor in 1987.
