Biographical or Historical Information
Marvin Gearhart, a mechanical engineer, and Haroold Owen founded Gearhart-Owen Industries in 1955. The company was listed on the New York Stock Excahnge in 1976. The company opperated in 27 countries and had 13,600 employees by 1984. It was bought by Halliiburton in 1988.
