Biographical or Historical Information

The Denton Monitor appeared in 1868. The Denton Chronicle was founded in 1882, followed by the Denton County Record in 1898. In 1899, the Chronicle and Record were consolidated as the Denton Record and Chronicle. In 1915, the "and" was dropped and the Record-Chronicle was published as Denton County's only daily newspaper through the 2000s. In Sanger, located in north central Denton County, Charles W.
