Family, business, and personal correspondence, manuscripts, typescripts, reprints, monographs, newspaper and newsletter clippings, genealogical material, memorabilia, photos, tapes. Includes material on Dr. Howards's publications, teaching experience (public schools in New York and New Jersey and at Frostburg State College, Maryland), Fulbright fellowship in Australia, research with Amish community in Maryland and with Mexican family in Tonalá, Jalisco, children's songs, family history, and folklore at North Texas State Teachers College.
