This collection contains videos of UNT's commencement recordings for Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter ceremonies from 2013 to 2021. Commencements were held at UNT Denton's campus, including Apogee Stadium, Coliseum, and Murchison Performing Arts Center. Commencement and recognition ceremonies for Winter, Spring and Summer 2020 graduates were held virtually due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Spring and Summer 2020 graduates had the opportunity to participate in their own in-person commencement ceremony on Thursday, April 29 as part of the Spring 2021 commencement ceremony weekend. Virtual recognition ceremonies also resumed in Spring 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The commencement recordings include the conferral of graduates from the College of Education, College of Engineering, College of Health and Public Service (previously the College of Public Affairs and Community Service before 2017), College of Information, College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (previously the College of Arts and Sciences before 2017), College of Merchandising, Hospitality and Tourism, College of Music, College of Visual Arts and Design, Frank W. and Sue Mayborn School of Journalism, G. Brint Ryan College of Business (previously the College of Business before 2019), Honors College, New College (established in 2017), and the Toulouse Graduate School. The born-digital collection can only be accessed online in the Portal to Texas History and the UNT Digital Library.
