Papers of Beulah Harriss, the first woman hired as a member of the athletic faculy in 1914.  Ms. Harriss superviced the women's athletic program.  Ms. Harriss founded the Green Jackets Club in 1926 as a service and spirit organization at UNT.  She served as a faculty advisor for the Green Jackets for four decades.  She retired in 1960 and died in 1977 at age 88.

The Dr. Mary Evans Papers is a collection regarding Mary Elizabeth Evans, the first woman to earn a PhD from the University of North Texas. The collection consists of photographs and a scrapbook.

Known most often by his pen name, Gene, Shuford was a noted poet as well as a professor and director in the School of Journalism at North Texas State University (NTSU) and a 1^st lieutenant of the U.S. Army Air Force during War World II. The collection materials range in date from 1924 to 1995.
