A scrapbook kept by Annie Wilson that documented her time at North Texas Normal College, now known as the University of North Texas. Included are documents that show the beginning of her career as a teacher at Texas schools. She taught in Coriscana in 1913 and Dallas from 1917 to 1918.

Abstract Birdie Orena Stringer was born August 7, 1892 in Van Zandt County Texas. Her parents were Nancy Ann Cox (1861-1905) and Isaiah Franklin Stringer (1857-1930). She was a Texas school teacher who was trained at the North Texas State Normal in 1918 and at the Tyler Normal School. She taught at the Hobbs School and Wilsons Chapel in Ben Wheeler; Tundra, Texas; Martin’s Mill; Rocky; Athens; and Black Jack, Texas.
