Ferde Grofé Collection
The collection consists of 18 boxes from the composer’s personal library, comprising some manuscript arrangements, but primarily orchestrations including the complete Schirmer’s Galaxy Library. (Source: pages 30-31 of Special Collections in the Libraries at Southern Methodist University, 1989.)
Bob McGrath Collection
The collection consists of 24 boxes of McGrath's band and symphonic compositions from his career with Mitch Miller, as a pop star in Japan, as a main character on Sesame Street, and as a performer in the U.S.
Freddy Martin Collection
The Freddy Martin collection consists largely of the arrangements Martin's various bands played over the nearly fifty years of his career as a band leader. Series I consists of 4190 manuscript band scores with parts. Series II consists of other types of music, including published sheet music, published arrangements and manuscript lead sheets. Series III consists of Freddy Martin biographical materials, including correspondence, lists of arrangements, photographs, programs and memorabilia.
John J. Haynie Collection
The collection consists of 21 boxes of papers and research materials related to the work and career of John J. Haynie, a major figure in trumpet pedagogy, and former faculty member of the UNT College of Music.
Hans Weisse, Josef Knettel, Paul Kletzki Collections
The collection consists of one box, containing the species counterpoint notebooks and one composition by Hans Weisse, compositions by and performance programs with Josef Knettel, and published compositions by Paul Kletzki.
Reinhard Oppel Collection
The collection consists of about 19 boxes of materials related to the life and work of composer and music theorist Reinhard Oppel.
Brian Bowman Collection
The collection consists of 8 boxes of euphonium and other brass music.
Michael P. Romano, Sr. Collection
The collection consists of about 20 boxes of reel-to-reel and cassette tapes, with performances by numerous Swing-Era bands including Artie Shaw, Count Basie, and many others. The principal focus of the collection, however, is Benny Goodman, with live performances, airchecks, and electrical transcriptions.
Paul Bonneau Collection
The collection consists of six boxes of Dr. Bonneau's music compositions and arrangements, along with material related to the memorial concert held in his honor in April of 2015, as well as personal effects and books.
Saul Novack Collection
The collection consists of about 20 boxes of materials related to the life and work of Saul Novack.
Stanton Golding Collection
The collection consists of four boxes of ephemera and other materials found during the cataloging of Golding's substantial donation of books to the Music Library's circulating collection.
UNT College of Music
The collection consists of four boxes which primarily contain photos, but also photonegatives, a few slides, and newspaper clippings. Most photos are from around the time of the A Cappella Choir's State Department-sponsored tour of Europe.
Gene Puerling Collection
The collection consists of about 60 boxes of manuscripts of compositions and arrangements by Gene Puerling, an innovative vocal jazz arranger and leader of the Hi-Los and The Singers Unlimited vocal groups, along with sound recordings and memorabilia.
International Symposium on the Sociology of Music Education Collection
The collection consists of one box of publications of the International Symposium on the Sociology of Music Education.
Moon Maids Instantaneous Recordings Collection
The collection consists of one box of instantaneous sound discs of radio programs and live performances featuring the Moonmaids and the Swingtet (sometimes "Swingtette"), which was the forerunner to the Moonmaids at the University of North Texas. A few related performers (Page Cavanaugh Trio) are also present.
Frank F. Davis Collection
The collection consists of eight boxes of cylinder audio recordings and two boxes of miniature records.

Kennedy, a plaque in honor of J. Frank and Mary Lively from the UNT Jazz Studies division, a bust of Stan Kenton, and other ephemera.
Vince Giordano Collection
The collection consists of 50 boxes of band arrangements used by Vince Giordano with his band, Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks.
Vaughn Monroe Collection
The collection consists of one box of various materials, primarily related to Vaughn Monroe and his band, including several manuscript music arrangements from the band.
Anna Harriet Heyer Collection
The collection consists of 27 boxes of materials concerned with Miss Heyer's career, research, publications, and personal hobbies, as well as historical materials related to the development of the UNT Music Library.
