Nova Ensemble Collection
The collection consists of nine boxes of materials relating to rehearsals and performances by the Nova music ensemble, including scores, parts, and audio tapes (reel-to-reel and cassette). Compositions range from twentieth-century classics to pieces commissioned by Nova and the University of North Texas’s College of Music. Some scores are accompanied by notes from the composer or reference recordings.
Helen Hewitt Music Research Collection
Allen and Madeleine Forte Memorial Collection
The collection consists of 27 boxes of writings, sketches, analyses, and other personal and unpublished papers, along with some photos and videocassettes from the career of music theorist and educator Allen Forte. An additional donation in the summer of 2015 added two boxes of sound and video recordings from Madeleine Forte, as well as Allen Forte's doctoral cap, gown, and hood for the honorary doctorate he received from Eastman School of Music in 1978.
Boyce Ditto Public Library Broadcast Transcription Recordings
The collection consists of four boxes, which contain a total of fifty-seven 16-inch broadcast transcription discs from the Mineral Wells area. Most of the programs were sponsored by the Crazy Water Company, and there are multiple copies of most programs in the collection.
Merrill Ellis Music Collection
The collection consists of 53 boxes of performance materials for all of Ellis' works: tapes, cassettes, slides, films, instructions, masters, etc. Also included are tapes of historical importance such as the John Cage Lecture, the Roy Harris Informal Evening, and a tape of Ellis discussing plans for the construction of the current Music Building.
