Scope and Contents
The collection spans the dates 1960 - 2008, providing a photographic record of the School of Library and Information Sciences. Included are images of the faculty and staff (in groups and individually), buildings used by the school, alumni, class scenes, conference booths, and images faculty and alumni attenting the American Library Association and Texas Library Association conferences. A small selection of printed material consists of one issue of Call Number (2003; the newsletter for the College of Library and Information Sciences), photographic order forms, clippings, and a post card.

Abstract

Arrangement Note
The collection is organized by type of material: 1) printed material; 2) photographs which are arranged by prints, proof, and negatives then alphabetically within each of these groups. Box 4 is located within Box 2.
Physical Access Requirements
This collection is stored off-site and requires a minimum of 24 hours notice prior to use.
Custodial History
The collection was created by multiple individuals. The material was collected by employees of the School of Library and Information Science, Margaret Nichols and Jurhee Curtis. Jurhee Curtis donated the collection to the University Archives.

The initial gift contained four boxes. A fifth box was added in 2012. Another gift of information was made by Dr. Curtis in January 2014.
