A collection of postcards circa early 1900s that depicts how holidays were celebrated with images of the University of North Texas' (UNT) early years, as well as documents localities such as San Francisco, California. The university cards show early buildings and promote the school to future students.

Abstract
A collection of postcards that show early postcards of the University of North Texas, the North Texas region, and sites from other states. There is also a small sampling of university postcards that were used to advertise the school to potential students. The postcards in Series 1 were originally part of the Historical Collection.
Arrangement Note
The cards are arranged into two series: 1) Historical Postcards; 2) University of North Texas Postcards.
Physical Access Requirements
This collection is housed in the UNT Special collections department vault. The UNT Special Collections department requests a 24 hour notice from patrons in order to page materials from vault and ready the materials for use. Please contact the UNT Special Collections department for further information.
Custodial History
The Historical Postcard Collection was given to the Historical Collection Museum and was transferred to UNT's archives in 1986.
