Collection consists of correspondence, speeches, autobiographical and biographical sketches, papers, and dissertation of Benjamin Bee (B.B.) Harris and family. B.B. Harris was Professor and Director of the Biology Department and Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at North Texas State Teachers College (now the University of North Texas) known for his work and avid interest in the natural and agricultural sciences, especially in the area of conservation.
