The collection contains directories of the University of North Texas Libraries; fact books for the 1980s and 1990s; reports on surveys of faculty, students, graduating students, alumni, and on the issue of student retention; strategic plans; and an Online Computer Library Center (OCLC) newsletter from November/December 1999. The North Texas State University (NTSU) Planning Fact Book is intended as a reference guide to quantifiable information about the University. The development it records, through objective figures and tables, reinforces a host of more subjective indications of this University's progress and growing stature. The Fact Book summarizes ten years prior of statistical data about the Institution. Enrollment data as reported to the Coordinating Board, Texas College and University System, after auditing of the twelfth class day statistics, the official degree inventory of the Coordinating Board, and the HEGIS or IPEDS civil rights report are the sources of information. In 1992, the University of North Texas Planning Fact Book provided a new look for describing the university by using charts, graphs, and diagrams, thus illustrating more tabular data. The 1992 version of this annual publication keeps with the goal to provide accurate, up-to-date, and useful information for university decision-makers. The 1998-2000 University of North Texas Planning Fact Books are intended as a reference guide to quantifiable information about the University. This information includes enrollment numbers, by headcount and semester hours, number of degrees conferred, budget information, and more.
