The NBC 5/KXAS News Morgue Records is made up of files for past news stories or people, organizations, and events of interest. These files are used for reference by reporters and were collected by the WBAP station, later KXAS in Dallas, Texas. The subjects of these files are primarily local stories and information involving Dallas, Fort Worth, and the surrounding regions, as well as stories from around the nation. The subjects begin in 1899 and continue into 2000, with a large portion of materials from the 1960s-80s.
